Don't forget that the police pressure the eyewitness to misidentify the suspect if they have no other suspects. It's all part of the system.

The whole lineup process is flawed. It makes the eyewitness identify the person who looks the most like the assailant by looking at the differences between the subjects. A less error prone process would involve using photographs and presenting them one at a time.

I think the whole rape thing unless its violent is over played. I must admit if I didn't see choke marks around the victim necks the whole situation wouldn't be credible in my eyes.
