In a story arc that spans 2 episodes, Spike discovers that his long lost lover is still alive. When he goes to search for her Faye Valentine says, "It's been over 2 years. She probably forgot about you by now." Spike still ends up going after her anyways, and Faye says, "Men truly are hopeless romantics."

Throughout the series, Faye always leaves the Bebop crew whenever a better opportunity arises for her. The first time she does this Jet announces it and Spike makes the retort "This is typical of women."

This theme is even repeated later on when Jet says, "Women easily betray others, but men live for honor and duty."

Finally there's even a story arc where Faye gets picked up by a white-knight. Not a complete beta provider, but a white-knight nonetheless. By the first night, Faye becomes so turned off, that she leaves him and returns to the Bebop crew, but not before she gold digs and takes as much resources as possible.

It's pretty crazy at all the subtle Red Pill that's said and shown in Cowboy Bebop. Stuff I would've never picked up on if I hadn't been lurking on TRP.
