I already did some research and I know I really cannot do anything. Here's the back story: The ex and I had a kid, lived with my parents for a year and a half and I rented an apartment for us. after 2 years I felt like she was very distant and thought she was cheating. I confronted her about it and it turns out it was WAY more than that. She was into drugs (coke, X) and definitely into other dudes. I broke it off. Since she was going back to live with her father, I worked long hours, and she didnt work or go to school, we decided not to go through the courts and figure things out ourselves. I paid her 20% of my paycheck (kept receipts) and got my daughter on weekends. This went on for 2 years until her boyfriend wasnt working and started doing drugs. Once they broke up she asked if maybe we can date and see where it goes. I agreed since I wanted my family back. We dated for 10 months. Just last week, out of the blue she says we arent working and didnt give me any reasons why. She denied it was another man. 7 days later my daughter tells me she was with mommy's "friend who is a boy" and his daughters. I confronted her and she spilled the beans. Saying our child is going to be happier than ever before. Like I said, I know I cant do much. But does someone have some advice, even if it just makes me feel a bit better about this? TL;DR got back with my ex to maintain the family we started. Found out she didnt change a bit. Hurt. Illinois.
