Been dealing with a troll recently in /r/pics...my most recent comment made me want to post part of it here. This is for people who believe that the expectation of others to take steps to protect themselves against rape is victim blaming.

"You lock your doors because you don't want to get robbed...that's not victim blaming, that's just common sense. You put sunblock on because you don't want to get burned...that's not victim blaming, that's just common sense. You avoid excessive alcohol consumption and bad neighbourhoods because you want to avoid being raped...actually you don't avoid those things because you've been told that's victim blaming so you feel entitled to engage in behaviours that you know can lead to dangerous situations because you know you won't be blamed or held accountable in any way. THAT GOES AGAINST ALL COMMON SENSE."
