Amid rape investigations, University of Montana requires all students to take tutorial. (comments are open)

Is there somewhere I can take this tutorial? I can't seem to find it anywhere that isn't UM's main site, which I need a username and password to get into.

Edit: Fuck me sideways, it's right there. I just didn't look that hard. I'm gonna watch the thing and then make a real comment.

I made some notes on the various videos as I was watching them.

Video 2: They made the claim that if someone is intoxicated, they can not give consent to sex. Then they said that rapists can be intoxicated, and even pass out, and still be raping the other person. This is interesting. Can two people simultaneously rape each other? I thought we just called that sex.

Video 3: This gripe is more of a gripe with the whole thing, and I'm kind of being picky, but there was only one mention of males being the victim, in the myth/fact section and it was about sexual assault. This is probably just me being a dick and picking on them for every little thing, but dammit, I don't do that enough.

Video 4: They talked about rape culture and all that nonsense (I don't think I need to go into it here), the "guilty until proven innocent" idea, that you always must believe the claimant and blah, blah, blah. The thing I found interesting that I had not heard before, was that claim that cat-calling is sexual assault. I wasn't aware that hooting and hollering at someone in a sexual nature was equivalent to groping their genitalia. Learn new things every day, I suppose.

Video 5: I actually quite liked the first bit. It talked about how you have personal responsibility and that you can do things so that you are not put in bad situations. I think this is really important. Later on, they continued something which had been driving me nuts, but I didn't want to rewatch the first few videos so that I could find where it started. They kept saying that there were people out there who claim that "If they say no, they really mean yes." which I have never heard.

Ever.

Video 6: To start, I'm terrible with understanding exactly what tone someone meant to have when they say something, so I may be misinterpreting them, in which case you can hate me and beat me with your rape sticks (we all have one, right?), but it seems as though the only actual antagonistic things that were said ("Bro, that's not happening." "Not cool, bro.") were either gender neutral or directed at males. I decided to insert one of my own. "Hell no, sistah girl, you are NOT leavin' with my friend!" I decided on "strong black woman who don't need no man" because she's a strong black woman who don't need no man, a person that also needed representation here.

All-in-all, it's nothing that hasn't been seen before.

I was raised in the 80s and 90s where we had a phrase, “just say no”. If you succumbed to peer pressure and smoked, drank booze, did drugs, or in context of this issue… have sex, then you succumbed to peer pressure plain and simple. Hopefully there wouldn’t be any serious consequences and it could be used as a teachable moment about doing the right thing (saying no). This is orders of magnitude away from being held down and having booze poured down your throat, drugs shot into your veins, or someone otherwise forcibly violating you. This rampant false equivalency of being pressured into sex as rape is a gargantuan disservice to victims of actual rape.
