Well , if what we've all had drilled into our heads for a few decades now is true (namely that women are every bit as capable as men are) what exactly are quotas needed for ?
How is having women on any board of directors necessarily going to increase profits ? I keep hearing that the reason is because ... well , something about having a female perspective . As soon as I figure out what difference that makes to bottom lines in a mathematical sense , I promise to let you all know .

I don't know ... how many board members at Mary Kay Cosmetics are male ? All of them ? None of them ? Half of them ? Assuming there are any , if we fired them all tomorrow and replaced them with females , how much different would profits be ? I'm willing to bet that the profits would remain static for a while and then possibly go down . Not because women are somehow incapable but rather because we'd have promoted potentially incompetent people to positions while forcing more competent individuals to work for the competition .

So do governments in capitalist nations still want the private sector to make money or what ?
