Reading your post, it seems to me you are dealing with a woman who has a budding habit of malicious prosecution.

You should demand proof of the crank call. Your phone records will show that it wasn't made from your phone. Also, if you still have the facebook communications and the letter, make sure your lawyer knows about them. Her choice to contact you is important in that it shows that she remained interested enough to initiate contact repeatedly.

Don't feel bad about the other guy being investigated. Nobody made him get involved her. That was his choice.

Aside from that, you should start documenting everything - especially your whereabouts, at all times and any communications you receive from or about her. Do everything your lawyer says to do. Everything, even if it seems trivial or stupid.

Once you've gotten through the current case, talk to your lawyer about whether you have a chance at winning a civil action against her for malicious prosecution.
