Big news in Australia concerns MP Craig Thompson who is accused and being widely held as guilty of using an expense account credit card to pay for prostitutes. He shouts his innocence and demands the right to a presumption of innocence. However, this man also voted in favour of the changes to the Family Violence law which now mean that a man accused of DV is guilty unless he can prove otherwise.

Australians, please write to newspapers pointing this out. We need people who vote in favour of anti-male legislation to know that it will not be forgotten or forgiven.

Edit: in the few minutes since I posted this, the letters Editor of the West Australian has phoned to confirm that I am the sender of I one line letter saying that if Craig Thompson wished to benefit from a presumption of innocence he should not have voted for said amendments.

Edit: I mistakenly believed that he had voted for these amendments. I do not know, but he was part of the government that pushed them. Text should read "he should have voted against them." I will contact the West Australian to see if I can correct this.
