This is a really silly post. Yes, her original statement was directed at males who try to gender-shame, but she acknowledged that women do it too, and flat-out said that she only referenced men because of the situation she was just in. Your initial comment saying, "Women do it, too" is fine, because you're right; they do. But once she acknowledged that you should have let it go. This is not bigotry and if you think it is, you need to educate yourself.

This implies that it was, in fact, not just a single incident. Although later posts suggest that it's possibly the 'situation she was just in' brought up those past times, it wasn't apparent at the initial post.

Honestly, I wouldn't have even responded to her post. I really can't think of any way to bring that up without coming across as confrontational.
