I know very little about VAWA and can't seem to find any information on what it entails. Are there any sites or a pdf that show the full text of the act?

Things I've been hearing but need to verify are:

  • VAWA only protects women (this seems obvious but I read that it's supposed to be gender-neutral this time, though I can't see why they wouldn't change the name then)

  • It doesn't include women as the perpetrator

Can someone please educate those of us who don't know much about it?
