She has every right to make her own decision, and it is between her and her husband alone. This goes for either spouse, man or woman, in this situation, nobody should be judging them for their decision, its their life, nobody else's.

It seems the general default consensus that a woman is OBLIGED to dump and/or punish an unfaithful philandering husband. It happened to Tiger Woods.

You can see the poor woman in the defensive for standing by her man.

But in an interview published in the latest Elle magazine, Ms Sinclair insists that there was no need to leave him.

'I am neither a saint nor a victim,' she said, adding defiantly: 'I am a free woman.'

Many in Paris argue that such unflinching loyalty will make Ms Sinclair's new job as editorial director of the French Huffington Post news and comment website impossible, as she is not an impartial observer of the French political class.
