This is awful. He does a lifetime of work and she takes it on a divorce...thats just fucked up.

Article says they settled. She wasn't awarded that.

The Bolleas' divorce settlement surfaced this week because of an ongoing dispute over the amount Terry Bollea owes his ex-wife from his company revenues.

Now it's in court because apparently the court fucked up on how to calculate payments:

David Houston, Terry Bollea's attorney, said the order is faulty because it directs his client to pay his ex-wife 40 percent of the gross revenues, when the couple's agreement had stipulated 40 percent of net revenues.

Also, it's a flat division, not alimony. That's very important. It's not payments that keep taking from him indefinitely, and he still has his name to earn with.

I have no idea why she got to rip off 70% of his shirt, but if she did substantial management work for his brand up til now, then the portion could be due to her work. Let's be real, a lot of shitty divorces screw the guy and award a woman who doesn't deserve it, but this marriage was pretty long (1983-2009) and covers a large stretch of his prime career.
