As long as you haven't figured out her menstruation/phase, don't think about the timing too much. It'll make you come over too needy if you are too needy, not if you ask her out a day too soon.

Most of the time, if I meet a cute girl and we hit it off, I’ll ask her out right on the spot.

Think about it from her perspective. If she likes you, why would she want you to wait a couple days to ask her out? If you wait, you might give her the impression that you aren’t interested, and depending on how strong that impression is, she might start trying to protect her ego by rationalizing that she wasn’t that interested anyways.

On the other hand, if she’s not into you like that, better to find out sooner rather than later so that you can move on and not waste your emotional energy.
