The comments are interesting.

If you bring up false rape claims with feminists then they deny that women would use them in a retaliatory way and blurr the issue as much as possible.

But...

If you bring up a issue, like women losing custody if a man claims she raped him, where a man could poetentially make a false rape claim for profit then all of a sudden feminists go into overdrive talking about how horrible such a precedent would be cause so many guys would be abusing it in this way or that way....

Me thinks thou dost protest too much.

One thing they seem not to understand is the social capital of claiming to be a rape victim and how it differs between the sexes. Women get pity. Men get shame and laughter and not believed. I highly doubt many men would engage in false rape claims to profit or get out of child support or whatever. Who would believe them?

Meh.

She didn't go after him, the State of Michigan did.

He was 17 and she was 18, so no statuatory offense occured.

It's pure he-said she-said, and both sides have an incentive to lie. No way a case like this should go to court, regardless of the gender of the accuser.
