What's the purpose of field reports and rants?

I've been here since early on (was one of original 5000 subscribers, on my previous account)

In the early days, there was still a lot of "discovery" happening w/ respect to TRP theory. It was possible to have an experience and write a FR/rant about it, and have it be "new". Made for interesting discussions, back in the day. An honest FR or rant can still be useful for the writer, in terms of getting blunt feedback, and for new guys. But as you've noticed, numerous pages of TRP are clogged with bullshit.

In my view, it's become substantially worse as idiots from subs like incels have migrated here. Can't say I envy the amount of work mods are forced to put in.

I've been wondering this myself lately. Not only this but also so many questions are shit about handling specific problem in a often very specific situation. Same as with the field reports, I rarely see value in them. Some of them sure are, if at all only for a rough guideline. Be it fiction or reality, a "perfect example" can provide some insight.

I guess people want to be fed the answer, instead of internalizing the concept.

As Rollo said, it's often blue/purlpe pilled that want just enough red to "get the girl".

Field reports are just time wasting validation seeking exercises for the insecure little boys and confused faggots who play into the badass alpha male fantasy that's spoon fed by all the mods and endorsed contributors. Even they know it's all bullshit. They all make it up in their head as hours pass by on their laptop and fail miserably rooting their fantasies and scenarios into reality. Nobody should take field reports seriously let alone apply advice from them. You'll find better writing on 4chan for fucks sake. Field reports are basically incel fiction.
