Typhon blue is one of the best writers in the mrm, I've been a fan of hers for over 15 years, we are very lucky to have her.

Replace 'rape' with 'psychological trauma' and the article remains accurate.

Trauma is trauma. Be it physical violence, emotional abuse, sexual assault... the details are different, but the result is the same.

For example, Susan Brison writes in her book "Aftermath" how, as a rape and attempted murder survivor, she often found she had more in common with PTSD-laden soldiers than other rape victims. She also found that her rape-related suffering was more 'justified' in the eyes of society than was her attempted murder suffering.

... which begs the question: why has rape been singled out as the evil-of-all-evils? Why has child sexual abuse been singled out as the evil-of-all-child-abuse-evils, despite being only 7% of child abuse?

I agree with the OP author; rape and rape-related trauma has been co-opted and used as a weapon in the gender wars. Those who perpetuate rape hysteria seldom care about the real victims of trauma.
