The name of the woman has not been released because she has not formally been charged.
When the boy's mother picked the group up later that night, one of his friends broke down in tears and told the mother what had happened, according to the report. She immediately contacted the police, but no arrest was made. According to officials, the young teen's friends confirmed the story.
Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone's office would not comment on the matter, saying it could neither confirm nor deny that the office is investigating.

Welllll, the only thing different about this case is the sex of the alleged perpetrator, yet look at how.... differently this case is getting handled. Is this a simple coincidence? I don't think it is.

If memory serves me (and it may not): Almost, of not all males, that have been accused of the same crime (even same age range) in MA is immediately arrested, questioned at the PD, arraigned the next day, and sent to county lockup. Yet the DA's office is taking hold of this investigation, and no arrest as of yet, despite witness statements. No... nothing unusual at all. ~scoffs~

Edit: Female Teachers in MA accused of the same crime against their students are rarely arrested... I guess the DA's office is correct, they're manipulation of the law and gross hypocritical practices are indeed business as usual at the DA's office.

Exactly. They never arrest women for rape and they aren't going to start now.

Here we have a case of statutory rape of a boy with multiple witnesses, but more than a month later they are still "investigating".

I was under the impression that men charged with rape were identified (especially if they were released r.o.r before trial) to 'protect the public'....why does the 'public' not need equal protection from this alleged perpetrator just because she is female?

No, there isn't anything unusual about this. It's considered normal in our society to give the pussy pass to a woman accused or even convicted of rape. Sick? Yep. That's why we're here.
