I disagree with people saying there is nothing wrt men's rights contained within this article; to me it touches on numerous issues.

The most obvious: the need for men's emotional outlets (therapy, rehab, etc.). This article discusses how it felt to be attacked so savagely and the emotional damage done being on par/greater than the physical pain. Of course, this happened at a time when little was understood of emotional trauma, but the point stands.

It is a broader example of men helping to champion the rights of others and for me reaffirmed the need to demand change of the world as it is today.

If this subreddit is to flourish and promote real change, I feel this article is more useful than any number of the other higher voted alternatives.

If we want to collect all of various one-off-esque stories of various bad things that have happened to men we're going to solve nothing. For instance, I wouldn't take seriously a feminist group that just linked to every article about women being attacked by men.
