One researcher found that it costs the government $300 billion a year because of the impact of dads not being in the home. - Is this correct? I know it is a christian quote but anyone have some numbers on it?

Assuming dads in the home can guarantee 0% crime and whatnot, I'll make some assumptions.

So 2.3 million * $47,000 = $108.1 billion

Street crime is at $3.8 billion per year

I'm pretty much out of ideas right now, but making some pretty wild assumptions leaves us with $139.2 billion spent. Now mind you not everyone in prison is there because they didn't have a father and whatnot, but I don't see where the $300 billion per year figure could possibly come from.

I don't know how you could have clicked around that site and come out with "dads at home save the government money" as the most salient piece of information.
