Hi all.

So, basically a cousin of mine whose father passed away a couple of years ago. I lent a shoulder as he needed one. Gave my time etc when he basically had nobody. Not even a good relationship with his own brother. Anyway, there i find my cousin has a problem with alcohol. I still hung out with him but realise this dudes activities revolve almost entirely around alcohol. If I want a coffee he would drag me to a pub so he can down his drinks while I get my coffee at the pub. I kind of had enough and stopped hanging with him and then came to a point where I had to make excuses to avoid him because I just didnt want to be around alcohol like that all the fucking time. In addition to that, he just talked behind peoples backs and gossiped about them.

Today, it was a family funeral and he was present. He completely avoided any sort of eye contact whatsover and did not even look my way. We did not cross paths because of that even though I attempted to make eye contact and then approach.

What would you do? I was considering sending a text hey bro, saw you at the funeral and sensed alot of animosity from you. Let's talk man to man.
