Lost a bet last night which I made with one of my closest friends. Basically in an effort for self-improvement, we both agreed to do nofap, no weed and an alcohol about 2 weeks ago. I went out last night and I ended up drinking thus ensuring I lost the $50 dollar bet.

This is the first bet I've ever had because I don't really put much faith in gambling, but I thought this would be a nice way of keeping myself accountable. Anyhow I lost and now I'm out $50 bucks.

The thing is, I was hoping he would let it slide because he owes me far more than I owe him. He is currently driving my car while I'm ubering back home from work. Also ubered to work today. I let him use my car whenever I don't have a massive need for it. I put him in my insurance, and we each pay 50, 50, as well as split gas. Also have done repairs on my car which I didn't make him pay. This and coupled with other things I've let him slide on, while sitting in this Uber on my way home, lets just say I'm bitter about the bet.

Which brings me to my question, am I just being a sorry loser right now and should just move on, or do I just refuse to pay him?

Lesson here being: Learn to say no and keep your boundaries. Also to be realistic about what you can and cannot do. The money isn't the issue as much as the principle. I let him him slide on so much that he should give me the courtesy of sliding on this one.
