As a men's rights activist I've often been called a misogynist for my beliefs. And I've come to realise that this is correct as long as you define misogyny correctly.

First wave misogyny was considered 'hatred of women'. I don't hate women... so this does not apply.

Second wave misogyny was 'contempt' or 'disrespect' for women. I'm an egalitarian who believes in equal rights and responsibilities for both genders... so this does not apply.

Third wave misogyny is disagreement with feminism or a feminist. And I admit this does apply to me. I think many feminist idea's are wrong, bigoted or lies.

Now when ever I'm called out for being a misogynist by a feminist I agree. Misogyny is such a often used word by feminists that I think it's easier to educate everyone what a feminist really means when she accuses someone of misogyny rather than trying to deny it.
