The article seems to explain that most differences come from specialty choice, but there are still differences within specialties. What is curious is that it doesn't address locations of work generally chosen, hours worked, how much was negotiated versus offered, or if pregnancy possibility was an influence.

I would love for pay to be equal in every field and this story does at LEAST explore a few possibilities besides discrimination.
