It is so messed up how most of society still considers male pain and suffering to be such a joke while, at the same time, any kind of violence or suffering directed at women is still considered to be beyond sacrilege, and always to be handled with extreme care and consideration(to the point where even any kind of exaggerated reaction or martyrdom/attention seeking has to be respected and any kind of perceived insensitivity or scrutiny directed at women practically becomes a crime in of itself).

Ever notice how in nearly all forms of entertainment, even G rated children's movies, there is virtually always male characters getting hurt or abused(sometimes even glorifying genital abuse) and it is treated as comedy; but nearly never are there female characters suffering anywhere close to that level of physical abuse(women are just about never being hit or hurt and, when they do, it is treated as a very serious offense).

Not to mention how crimes and suffering which affect women specifically, or at the very least generally interpreted as only affecting women(crimes like rape or spousal abuse or suffering like child birth or unwanted male attention), are considered to be far worse than any other "gender neutral" crimes and suffering(though those gender neutral crimes also tend to cause have a greater importance when a woman is the victim and a harsher sentence when a man is the perpetrator); just like crimes or suffering which affect men specifically(like general acts of violence, theft, poverty, alimony, war, social bias, false accusations, parental alienation or even any other harmful gender role expectations towards men) are considered of far lesser importance. All of which are still blatant examples of male expandability and female privilege(Especially in the cases where the severity of such crimes, or even its very criminalization, rely entirely on misandry or the contempt, disdain or objectification of men, masculinity or the male body) yet still, at best, ignored or, at worse, deceptively misrepresented as female oppression by society and feminism.

Ugh, I'm literally disgusted after reading the comments on the original news site.
