Hello, I wanted to get some extra opinions on a relationship I've been developing with someone. Its a mix between a rant and a plea for advise. To make a long story short, I've been in serial relationships since I was 14 or so, up until about two years ago. From then, I focused a lot on self improvement, from development of hobbies to working out a little (which is big considering for my entire life I've been a basement dwelling neckbeard.)

During being single, I did date around a little. From Tinder to OKCupid, I found a couple of girls that really wanted a relationship, but I didn't get that connection with them. Some would buy me gifts, others tried to win me over with great sex, or sometimes even both. But the long of the short is I never really pursued anything, partially because I was loving being single, and partially because I just didn't have the drive to make it anything more than a fling.

Then I rekindled with an old friend I knew in school and I've never been happier with someone. She sees me as a rock, and is almost as quick witted as I am. Our first night getting intimate, we laid in bed and talked about anything and everything, we laughed while making out, and even a few days later I'm still seeing stars just thinking about her. I've been with girls before, but just laying in bed and talking, it felt more intimate than any past relationship I have been in, like we were really exposing each other to who we were, rather than who everyone sees us as.

I don't know, I'm not saying I'm gonna go off the deep end and ask her to move in or something dumb like that. Lesson learned on that one. But in two years I've developed a pretty sturdy frame of myself, and I've had other girls throw themselves at me and I wasn't interested. Then she comes along and I swear, with one look and smile and I'm done, I want to be with her. Am I being dumb?
