Gf got a promotion at work. She ended up texting me the details all excited and near the end of the text she goes "Hope you're having a great day too pal!"

I've never really been called that before by a girl i was fucking, let alone a gf. It kinda made me sick.

Is this normal for anyone else? Not sure why it bothers me so much.
