Hey guys, long time trp reader, first time poster. So there's a girl in the office who, over time, became good friends. We'd grab lunch, shoot the shit, grab drinks sometimes, all that (sometimes one for everything mentioned, sometimes in groups). Basically, we got pretty close. Over the last month or so, she stopped hitting me up to chat, the lunches and drink 1 on 1s stopped, and I really only noticed it a couple weeks ago. Since the realization, I started ignoring her and she started ignoring me. I am pretty sure it's either because I angered her in some way (make off color remarks a lot) or she lost all respect for me bc she perceives me to be an alcoholic (yea I'm known in the office to drink a lot, don't think I'm an alcoholic though).

In the last week the most interaction would be a "hey" at the beginning of the day and pretty clear avoidance. To me, this is stupid and childish, we're both being stubborn and are being assholes to each other. I am thinking about asking her to hit me up tomorrow when she's ready to talk; she's no dummy, she'll know what it'll be about.

Given the above context, what do you guys think about approaching her to talk? I'm very confident that I'll be quite calm and will basically state: 1) we don't hang or talk anymore; seems like we're literally and figuratively Facebook friends and so I figured what's the point in wasting time to make an effort; 3) unless I seriously pissed you off or you straight up lost respect for me over perceived alcoholism, this is an extremely petty thing for us to be purposely ignoring each other. That said, if she did lose respect or something, that's her prerogative and I'm not going to make an effort thereafter if that's not what she's into.

Edit: tiny bit more context, we work a corporate job during which we work 80 hrs/week average, working basically everyday. So only natural to build relationships w males and females when you're surrounded that much. Not a 9 to 5 by any definition
