Acknowledge and forget, or NC?

I usually acknowledge it, something like "Alright" or "ok" then NC, just to not come off as butthurt. I had this happen with someone I have to see every day, and since I can't completely ignore them.. I just keep it light and moving.

I got with 'k' and then nc. I like the soft next because things change. If you don't lower your SMV looking all butthurt there might be a next time in a year or so

There was a post here the other day that replied to this with "sure, it's called social grace". You take the high road, don't act butt hurt, and at the same time you acknowledge her offer of "friendship" is worthless.
