So I was thinking to myself recently over the past month as I've jumped on this RP journey, should I needlessly help people as I previously have with no benefit towards myself (Guys and girls) or should I only help others which benefit me.

What lead me to this thought was an Ideology I read off of TRP, You come before anyone else. For example I go highschool and have a couple part time jobs incase I need money, this guy asked me in school to help him get the same job, I think to myself "why can't he find one himself, it took me long enough to get it by myself", I lied to him and told him I'd try in reality I don't see how it'd benefit me and were not even close friends.

I know it might seem like a dick move, but what's the point of helping someone you don't know with their problems if it doesn't help you, only circumstance I'd help another person in need is if I see their ambition and work ethic along par with mine or even higher, then it'd be mutually beneficial as their friendship will be useful and they'd be a great investment.
