My crazy ex was like this to the point of stalking. Had to drop the hammer on her to get her to stop. Best guess is that it's the realization that she was much more comfortable with you than with her current situation. She also wants the 'closure' moment of blaming the failure of the relationship on you, be it outright or subtly, as well as the validation of knowing that you still want her. So when you no contact her, her mind is blowing up at the fact that A.) you didn't come crawling back, and B.) you're fine without her. Start dating a girl and she is gonna flip out and start trying to smear you, or damsel. Start dating a younger, hotter girl and she's gonna go really nuts. Just maintain no contact, which is all you can do.

My crazy ex continued on with this for a couple of years. A restraining order and shifting her obsession onto her now ex husband is what it took to put a stop to it. Hope you don't wind up in that situation.

I think they do it when they begin to understand your value or your benefit to them post-relationship.

My ex expressed to me how she had to develop independence and a modicum of self awareness in terms of her health after we broke up. I use to handle the finances, remind her to take care of herself, be her source of emotional validation, and in the last year my life has improved drastically which i think made her want to re-approach being in a relationship.

Typically though it never means you any good , they miss using you i. That special way only you took care of them or realize you were the best man that they could realistically hope for. Don't fall for the bait.

She's hit a dry spell...for reasons she cannot explain she's no longer getting her way...nothing seems to work anymore...paying for her own drinks is a foreign concept...its only an extra 25lbs...
