So it's the Lucknow girl case again. And amazingly the public is on the man's side to such an extent that the original police who fucked things up so bad they arrested him not her, are off the case and some other cops took it?

I suppose the Rakhi move is supposed to make her sound contrite though obviously the cab driver isn't going to let her come within a mile of him if he can help it. Plus to people not from India it just sounds like a sexist / abusive custom anyway but I expect it's not seen that way at all in India. But it sounds like a move demanding more from the cab driver rather than one expressing regret or contrition by her. I guess you have to know the custom.

Even with all this the article is careful to take seriously her bat shit insane (and now disproven) claims,

had alleged that the cab driver tried to crush her when she was crossing the road due to the red light at the intersection. Angered by this, Priyadarshini slapped the cab driver

There's video (that went viral) showing she walked into traffic right in front of many vehicles and while the light was green for the oncoming vehicles. This statement they repeat is known to be false and self serving yet they repeat it (at least they also balance it with the truth of what happened).

Didn't really understand what is happening in the article. I am not familiar with indian customs. What is that she wants to tie around his hands?
