The National Institute of Statistic and Geography according to it's "about us" page is:

an autonomous public body responsible for regulating and coordinating the National System of Statistical and Geographical Information, as well as for collecting and disseminating information about Mexico in terms of territory, resources, population and economy, which makes it possible to know the characteristics of our country, and help in the decision making process.

They published a link to a report with the text "homicides of men and women in Mexico" and a picture saying "for every woman who died from homicide in the first half of 2020, eight men died from the same cause" (picture below)

For this they recevied a backlash from feminists, the feminist page Marea Verde México asked for the removal of a the post from the INEGI Informa account arguing that this minimized the situation of female deaths. Within hours they got the page to delete the post despite many people being against deleting it.

Why they did this ? the belief that men and women are equal is called egalitarianism, but feminism is the belief that we are living in a patriarchy that privilege men and oppress women therefore sharing statistics that show male disadvantages is considered an attack on feminism and women's rights. that's why in countries where feminism is mainstream like the US the government created Women's Health Office but no Men's Health Office. created Violence Against Women Office but no Violence Against Men Office. a Commission on Women and Girls in every state but no Commission on Men and Boys.

From a feminist point of view treating men and women equally is discrimination against women. that's why they oppose International Men's Day and gender neutral statistics. that's why the media say "1 in 3 women will be victims of domestic violece in their life time" and don't tell you how many men will be victims.
