The excellent Helen Pluckrose wrote the first version of this article before #metoo, but rewrote it focussing on the campaign. She tried to make a difference between real traumatizing crimes and things that are just terribly annoying. Alas, I think #metoo has been so successful that nowadays it would be hazardous to write a piece like this at all.
