Misandry and male self-loathing has ALWAYS been the norm. What's worse is that people like you are validating feminist framing of history.

Feminism is a hate movement and was NEVER valid! Women are the dominant gender borgoise and ALWAYS have been. Men throughout history have been slaves to society and more directly the women in their lives.

Men need to set their egos and desires aside and realize what we live in a world that sees them as either useful or trash not just by women, ourselves as well. We're in a fight to have our very humanity recognized.

Yeah but MRA isn't feminism. We dont need to burn bras or go on marches. We have some very specfic legal issues to address, some society stuff too.... a legal and lobbying approach will do the job. Obiivously if we could raise mens issues, change the societal lens then we could change things rapidly (but how will that happen?) as men are already in every single sphere and incredibly competant (men literally built the world, we are having this conversation because men built it)

I can see where you're coming from. There has been a large push to expand what feminine genders can do in the past century. While it's only in the past 5 years I'll really seen some of the base level tenants of traditional masculinity being broken apart for the betterment of men.

The vast majority of people I know who are feminists fully understand that society really negatively impacts men and woman in very opposed and different ways.

The reason why it sometimes feels like the 50s is how little expectations on men have changed since then. And with only recent younger feminists being aware of mens issues at all, the vast majority of powerful organisations don't care about the issues men deal with.

It's a complicated issue that I see people boil down to "feminism bad" when it's more "outdated ideas of how society effects people bad, and that happens to also apply to some older feminist groups."
