Women already do approach men. It just might not seem like it because they pursue the top 20% of men. Go hang out with any high status man and you'll see women throw themselves at him.

If you don't mind me saying, maybe you might have been a touch too adversarial in there, but the premise behind this conversation was a good one.

And there was this gem hidden in it:

Society at large, not necessarily individual women. We're not a hivemind, you know.

Awesome response. So when women talk about men doing x, y, and z, men can simply reply that it is society at large and not individual men as men are not a hivemind despite almost every single societal talking point in 2019 trying to argue that we are.

This is a very good point about the contemporary conversation around gender.

On one hand, feminists like to say you can't justify a meaningful generalization about society as a whole, or women, -- that would be a stereotype, and those are so very harmful. On the other hand, their whole shtick is making generalizations about men veiled under the transparent euphemism of "the patriarchy", which isn't about all men, and it isn't even about men at all... but you get the idea, just see how the feminists use the #NotAllMen hashtag on Twitter.

I can't find the exact link to this discussion now, but there was a justification on r/AskFeminists, somewhere around their list of "resources" that are "tackling" male issues, which in practice amounts to writing one news article on the subject, and the rationale basically like this: "not all feminist organizations have to address all feminist issues all of the time, and women have it so, so much worse (just see our religious theories here, here and here), so when 95% of us pay mere lip-service to male issues at best, we are perfectly justified in doing so, and are good feminists at that."

Sounds a bit like saying "if you don't approach me, you're oppressing me". Truth is it isn't women doing this to you, it's just that men and women aren't the same. Honestly you might as well be complaining about the oppression women face when they get their period.
