The 39-year-old woman was convicted of attempting to pervert the course
of justice and was sentenced to 12-months' home detention.

And yet men in New Zealand whom get convicted of rape are looking at anywhere between 7 - 20 years in prison..
But she gets 12 months home detention (Aka a slap on the wrist)
Oh we can't send her to prison because she's Bi-polar.. but its ok to send men to jail even if they have Bi-polar or other issues like that..

The New Zealand justice system is a fucking joke (I know because I live here) This right here is a clear cut example of the bias the NZ criminal courts have towards women..

"The [sentencing] judge noted that the offending was motivated by
spite, was a sustained and clinical course of deception, and had a
significant impact on the victim whose own mental frailties were known
to the appellant; [she] impugned the integrity of the criminal justice
process and she used the Rape Crisis Centre as an unwitting vehicle to
further her own agenda,"

Despite all of that she still gets nothing more than a slap on the wrist with a wet bus ticket..
Just disgusting!
