So to preface this off let me say i have tried to get behind women’s issues and gender equality but the more i actually research and learn facts the less inclined I am to be a feminist of anything like that. First of all, 93% of incarcerated people in the US are male, 77% of murder victims are male, 30 % of men have a bachelors degree compared to 41% of women having one, men are three times as likely to commit suicide as women, men have much higher death rates from heart disease and cancer then women do, men are 10 times more likely than women to be killed at work, as they tend to work much more dangerous jobs. If you look at any statistical, objective data, it all points towards men having the short end of the stick. And thats not even mentioning that in most relationships men have more obligatory task then women. For example, 74 percent of men have completed an an oil change compared to only 30 percent of women. I could go on and on, but to summarize it seems that any objective, statistical data i could possibly find seems to suggest that in reality men have it harder, not women. So why is it that whenever i log onto Reddit or any social media really, I constantly see women complaining about how hard they have it,how the world is totally rigged against them, and many such similar sentiments. Is there some kind of massive gap in current available data, some flaw that prevents womens struggles from being accurately represented in objective data? Or are women just more likely to voice any opinions they have then men are, thus making it seem like women endure much more problems than men do? Please help me understand where i am missing the part where women inherently have it harder than men do, because i simply cannot find any data to support such an idea, although it is wildly popular across many social media platforms. I think it would make sense if women were just more vocal about their issues, since men are trained from a very young age to not verbally expresses their hardships and rather to deal with them on their own. Whereas women are not subjected to this kind of social conditioning but rather told to express all their thoughts and emotions openly.
