A younger family member dumped his girlfriend halfway through his degree. She was suffocating any effort to do any meaningful work. She berated him for not spending enough time and at every critical deadline she flooded him with drama. Even when he says it’s over she called his family and told anyone she was concerned about his mental health. It may not explain every circumstance but I am curious about other stories.
