He remained calm and detached from the situation for the sake of his daughter. The way he proceed is to help him in court and not get screwed over. To answer your question, yes he did handle it well.

He gets points for not displaying anger.

He entered her frame by asking her for a divorce, and then again by asking twice. With that video, he's GETTING a divorce.

He probably shouldn't have praised the guy his wife was cheating with for being a good man, but there might be some reason for him to reassure that man there would not be a beef. I don't know their relative standings in the local community.

Still, did better than probably 90% of men in that situation would do.
