So 2 months ago I had a really bad breakup with my ex who I nearly dated for 2 years. I no longer want to be with him and realistically there would be absolutely no reason for me to get back with him, but some of the things he said and did still linger in the back of my head. While I'm pursuing graduate school, my ex (we're both 24) stayed at his same job that he's had since high school. Foolishly over 2 years I tried to encourage him to go back to school but he never did. He even wanted to quit his job and I helped him draft a resignation letter but he never ended up quitting. At a family barbeque last summer his aunt pulled me aside and said that I should help "raise him" up to my level because he really needs it.

Fast forward a year later and the relationship becomes more toxic. The day before I broke up with him he refused to hold my hand in front of people and gave me the silent treatment for no reason. We break up and my friend finds him on tinder 2 days after. We talk one last time and he pretty much says I did nothing for him (despite helping him find school programs, encouraging him to find a better job, helping with his photography business) and that I bring nothing to the table. He tells me he doesn't need me because I do nothing for him and everything he needs he could get elsewhere. I asked him if some of his actions in the relationship would be considered emotional abuse and he said yes then proceeded to call me a snowflake. This really hurt me. It made me feel worthless and that I meant nothing. It makes me question myself and whether I was a bad girlfriend even though I know I wasn't. I haven't spoken to him since but his final words still linger in the back of my head.

Does anyone have advice to get through this?
