Lovely! Best thing I ever did was purchase my own house. Here's how dating normally goes for me:

Rando Guy: So, what's your living situation? Me: I own a house and live with my dog.
Rando: OMG You're super intimidating! You own a HOUSE?
Me: Thank you, next.

If the guy is emasculated with a lady with financial independence, I'm not interested. Queens, it IS possible to be financially independent. Budget, sacrifice, work hard, be thrifty, and if all that fails- relocate to an area where home ownership is attainable. It is the best thing you can do for yourself and your future.
