LTRs require comfort. Not all aloofness. If you care for her and want this to work, show her. Better to show her with actions than words but she'd probably like to hear that you are there for her if she's never heard that before

OP, think of it like this:
RP dating = alpha/alpha/alpha
RP LTR = alpha/alpha/beta
BP dating = beta/beta/alpha
BP LTR = beta/beta/beta
sprinkle in some more comfort. can't go full rambo and expect them to stick around forever.
