He was accused of sending inappropriate messages to other staff around the time he criticised Rudge of discrimination.

However, Judge Broughton said Mr Champayne would have rightfully faced a gross misconduct investigation anyway over allegations of 'inappropriate' messages and 'potential' sexual harassment.

He would have been investigated on the allegations of inappropriate messages and 'potential' sexual harassment. These investigations never took place to determine whether or not the allegations were genuine.

Considering that Rudge immediately became offended by being called out for discrimination, that she claimed he was calling her a racist, it's incredibly likely that these allegations were part of Rudge and Creese's effort to fight these claims and discredit Champayne (which was ultimately successful).
