Most modern men (men is a strong word, maybe femboy is more accurate) are addicted to one or more of these things.

watching porn | playing video games | scrolling social media | watching sports

Below is a chart I created on why ALL of these are detrimental to your growth as a man and, on a deeper level, how all of these are very similar despite seeming very different.

Detriment ↓ Vice ➝ Watching Porn Playing Video Games Scrolling Social Media Watching Sports
Watching Porn

Watching porn:

  • Artificial dopamine - our brains are too primitive to know the difference between porn and real sex
    • false sense of satisfaction from fucking a hot girl, when in reality you jizzed onto your sheets
  • Watching others win - you are watching a guy have sex with a girl that you want to have sex with.
    • This has an effect on your self esteem
  • Screen time - very easy to spend hours watching porn
    • takes time away from healthy habits like physical activity, sleep, or chasing your goals

Playing Video Games

  • Artificial dopamine - our brains are too primitive to know the difference between us being real heroic soldiers and Call of Duty Vanguard
    • false sense of satisfaction from shooting up Nazis when in reality you're (literally) twiddling your thumbs and eating chips
  • Watching others win - might not apply to this one
  • Screen time - very easy to spend hours gaming
    • takes time away from healthy habits like physical activity, sleep, or chasing your goals

Scrolling Social Media

  • Artificial dopamine - new post every 0.5 seconds, information overload, dopamine overload
    • false sense of satisfaction of learning new information (new posts) when in reality you're (literally) twiddling your thumb and laying in bed
  • Watching others win - you are watching others eat, drink, travel, date, and live their best life while you are not.
    • This has an effect on your self esteem
  • Screen time - very easy to spend hours on social media
    • takes time away from healthy habits like physical activity, sleep, or chasing your goals

Watching sports

  • Artificial dopamine - Living vicariously through the team
    • false sense of satisfaction when your team wins when you're just sitting on the couch drinking beer
  • Watching others win - pretty self explanatory, especially with the above points
  • Screen time - very easy to spend hours watching sports
    • games themselves are 2+ hours, keeping up with the league and players probably 1+ hour a day, playing fantasy sports, betting, etc etc
    • takes time away from healthy habits like physical activity, sleep, or chasing your goals

Most men are addicted to at least one of these, and many men are addicted to two or more. The amount of time, energy, sperm, and brainpower they will sink into these habits is ruining their lives without them even knowing it. They can do so much better, but they are too distracted to even realize it.

Part of taking the red pill and improving yourself as a man is recognizing the pitfalls most if not all men fall into and not doing the same
