Activists are wrong. It was politicians buying votes from women at male expense.

I believe that!

How does this relate to mensrights?

They took a non gendered crime and gendered it. It has contributed a great deal to the erasure and silencing of male victims, and as a result, downplaying or ignoring female perpetration too.

This is not dissimilar from the Duluth Model, or Mary P Koss’s changing rape from a non-gendered crime to a gendered one.

The disposability of men and male humanity is a social issue for everyone. The outright contempt for men is a feminist one.

Except it happened so much more frequently to women that a law had to be put in place. Think about that for a minute…no one is saying men don’t get abused. But try being a woman in the south of America or China, Japan, either of the Korea’s.

For the longest time it was socially acceptable to beat a “disobedient” woman. There were books on how to properly “punish” your wife. That’s fucked. So if you see this anniversary of this act as anything other than a win for woman and an overall good thing, you’re no better than the men in the places I referenced above

Incorrect.

In the west (where the VAWA has been implemented) men are the primary victims of violence in all spheres bar one, and that is domestic violence - in which there is gender parity.

And in the west it has never been legal to “beat” a “disobedient” woman.

Think about that for a minute… before you start accusing people of tacitly supporting any kind of violence at all.

Well it’s clear arguing with you will get nowhere. But anyways I can rest easy knowing I’m right and protected by this law :)

It’s a shame about all the male victims.

But I guess that’s the patriarchies fault too.

At least you’re an honest feminist that doesn’t try to tell us that you actually care. Just keep on thinking you’re right based on minutes of research and go on your merry way.

(That was comedic exaggeration - you’ve clearly done no research at all.)
