She's a minor and a woman. She'll have a stern talking to as a punishment.

No kidding but in France it's something judges can do. It's called "un rappel à la loi" - reminding the law. When guilty of something, the judge can decide to tell you to not do it again and remind you the law as a punishment.

It's probably the best solution in this case but I doubt such a display of forces would have been displayed for a missing teenage boy.
