Guys, for anybody who is not of South Asian origin in Australia. I'll put this straight up for you. The laws in India are shaped pretty much in favour of woman when it comes to dowry or assault. When a bride accuses a groom of dowry or assault. The authorities are going to take action doesn't matter if the groom's innocence is proven or not. Many men have committed suicide in India over fake dowry allegations by their former wives. However, I believe last year this act was taken back keeping these blatant misuse in mind. Coming to this case. This man probably seems to have already been having a PR which might have caused this woman to actually pursue him. The relationship might have gone really well until they got married. The timing seems very convenient because the bride filed an impotency case for divorce while she was in India. She also conveniently alleges dowry because she knows that the men have no say in this. Luckily for guy, he came to Australia. He's got all his proofs right. The girl has no proof of dowry. Also if you tell me that if they've been in a relationship that long there was no intimacy between them prior? That's bullshit. This was well planned. It was all done for PR. Now she also wants the so called dowry money back. I hope this girl gets jail time and her PR is taken back. PS: Dowry is a crime in India. But some families in India like to engage in dowry as a traditional custom. I've sent occasions where the girls family wants to give the guys family something(s) expensive just as a sign of good gesture or good will despite the guy's family not asking for it. There's really 2 sides to it and it depends from family to Family. Btw for any body with PR or citizenship in Australia. Please be careful whom you fall in love with. You never know what intentions they have. Especially guys with citizenship or PR. Be careful.

I’m sure Kanwel is secretly closeted gay. He refused to be intimate with her and she desperately wanted him too. She was unhappy and he was always out with his ‘friends’ There is more to this story, she isn’t the goldigger he is making her out to be. I personally KNOW the couple and more went down, their parents set up the marriage, (kanwels father deep down knew he always had issues with women and being physical, hence why we all believe he is gay ) unfortunately he was too cowardice to face the authorities in India he fled to Sydney and got a fake medical certificate and got aca involved in his lie. She wants the money back because SHE has been lied too, SHE has been used. In India culture, it’s a shame to your family to be gay, hence why the arranged marriage.

Absolutely No intimacy in a marriage is inexcusable. There are many men in India who have been granted divorce on these grounds. If I take my wife to good restaurants that's nothing to guilt-trip her about. Being a generous provider or splurging on weddings doesn't make a good case of negative intent. However, the jewelry his family took, they should give it back to her. Indian people hide a lot of things about themsleves fearing what people will say and the truth comes out later. All of this happens on secrecy. This is shamefully common in India. Just be more honest with your partner so have a choice whether they want to be with you or not, this will save you a lot of trouble later on.
