I thought I knew what I was doing, but it turns out that I only know the part about your appearance. How you dress, work out, etc.

When it comes to talking to people I have no fucking clue on how to do it without coming off as a wierd or creepy as fuck. Even my guy friends say that some of the things I do or say come off as borderline gay or questionable. How the hell do I change this? Are there some books I can read or some speaking commandments to help me with this? This is coming from a guy who has played pokemon for a majority of his life and I'm escaping that social circle.
