(EDIT: i shouldn't have titled it 'ratio' as technically it's not a ratio graph....my apologies)

This is a graph i came across last month while researching for my previous infographic.

I wanted to share it w/ this community for two reasons:

it's rare for me to encounter an emotionless, clinical graph of Statistics which suddenly stops me in my tracks and puts me in a somber mood. To the supremacists, these are just some boring numbers. To egalitarians like myself, each of these victims is a story of Social Injustice & Gender Inequality.
If you search online for "drug overdose and gender" (or similar phrases), you'll rarely find graphs like this. Instead, you'll find what i kept seeing: practically all of them avoid mentioning the words "Gender Inequality" and "Misandry" to specifically describe the gender of the majority victims. This includes not just your bloggers and armchair activists, but also actual, accredited researchers & research institutions/websites.

These people in positions of power are far more likely to present the female minority as the sole victims, in the same vein as this newspaper clipping from (i think) BC, Canada: https://i.imgur.com/S20ygPd.png

Things like this are a reminder for why we continue advocating for justice, and doing our little part (whatever that may be).
