It's your approach.... it's terrible. Stay away from close ended lines of conversation, things like "what's up" "how are you" "what you doing". Start talking about literally anything, if she's interested she'll follow your lead.

most conversation online is bad conversation because it's online.

The exception is if you're continuing a prior conversation and it flows well. If she already forgot you, you need to restart face-to-face and if your one last shot is using online to get face to face... best of luck

Don't talk to women just for the sake of talking to them.

Have a point, and get to it quickly.

Nothing wrong with building a little rapport first, but be specific. "How have you been" is way too vague and boring.

Women get dry and bored by talking to guys. They can talk to their girlfriends. With men they want excitement and fun. You aren't doing that by asking "How are you"
